£79 a month: web design for tradesmen and plumbers, with no minimum term.
If you are a plumber, electrician, roofer or builder, you spend the day on the tools, and the phone rings when your hands are full. I'm Serhat, and I offer web design for tradesmen who want a site that does the talking while they work: a mobile-friendly page showing what you do, where you go and how to reach you, for £79 a month plus a £49 setup fee. There is no minimum term, and no VAT is added because I am not VAT registered.
A tradesman website does not need to be clever. It needs to be found, believed and easy to ring. The rest of this page covers what that takes in practice.
What web design for tradesmen should do
Someone with a dripping ceiling or a dead socket is worried and in a hurry. They look at a few results and ring the one that seems real. So the site has four jobs:
- Say plainly what you do and who it is for.
- Say where you work, by town and road, not just "London".
- Show real jobs that you did.
- Put a number on the screen that dials with one tap.
In October 2026 I reviewed the websites of 95 small businesses around Bromley borough and south-east London, mostly trades, professional services, garages, shops, cafés and salons. 12 of the 95 had no tap-to-call link, so a visitor on a phone had to copy the number out by hand.
Quotes, prices and photos of your work
People hesitate to ring because they do not know what a job will cost or whether you will turn up. You can ease both without publishing a price list you might regret.
- Say how you charge: a call-out fee, an hourly rate or "from" prices for common jobs, whichever you really use.
- Say what affects the price, and what you need to quote, such as photos or the address.
- Use your own photos: finished jobs, before and after, the van. Stock images are what everyone else uses.
Show Up includes two content changes a month, so new photos and updated prices go on without you opening a website builder.
A website for plumbers, electricians, roofers and builders
A website for plumbers and a website for roofers share the same bones, with a different emphasis.
- Plumbers: emergencies, boiler and bathroom work, and Gas Safe registration if you do gas work.
- Electricians: the types of job you take and any scheme membership, such as NICEIC, where a visitor can see it.
- Roofers: clear photos of finished work and the repairs you take on, since customers cannot easily see a roof for themselves.
- Builders: a few project write-ups with photos, plus the size of job you prefer.
Areas you cover, your Google profile and reviews
Most trade work is local. Name the towns and neighbourhoods you cover on the site and on your Google Business Profile, which Show Up sets up and maintains. If you work from a van with no shopfront, the profile can show your service area instead of a public address. Of the 95 sites I looked at, 40 never mentioned their own town on the page.
Reviews do a lot of the persuading. My guide to getting more Google reviews is free, and Show Up & Book asks customers for a review after each visit. To see how I write about a local area, read the pages on web design in Orpington or website design in Bromley.
Missed call text back for plumbers and other trades (coming soon)
A call comes in while you are up a ladder. You cannot answer, and the caller may ring someone else. Missed-call text-back: coming soon for Show Up & Book clients. Included at no extra cost from the day it goes live.
Show Up & Book is £149 a month plus a £99 setup fee. The missed call text back page says more.
An AI receptionist for trades who are always on a job
Missed-call text-back (coming soon) follows up a call you missed. An AI receptionist answers it. With Show Up 24/7 (£249 a month plus a £149 setup fee), an AI receptionist for trades picks up, says plainly that it is an AI assistant, answers common questions from your own information such as hours, prices and services, and takes a message with the caller's name, number, what it is about and the best time to call back. A summary of every call lands in your email, and 600 call minutes a month are included.
It is not for everyone. If you want every call answered by a person, or you rarely miss calls, start with a lighter plan.
Prices, and an example site
Three monthly plans, each with no minimum term:
- Show Up, £79 a month plus £49 setup: the website, hosting, Google profile, two changes a month and a monthly report.
- Show Up & Book, £149 plus £99: adds online booking, missed call text back (coming soon), click-to-call and review requests.
- Show Up 24/7, £249 plus £149: adds the AI receptionist.
Prefer to own it? The site and Google profile can be bought outright for £995. Everything is on the pricing page. To see how a layout might look, the example designs include an example garage site. It is an invented business built to show a layout, not a client. Or book a free 15-minute call.

Questions
What should a tradesman website include?
The trade and jobs you take, the areas you cover, a tap-to-call number, photos of your own work, any registrations or memberships you hold, and a few reviews. Everything else is optional.
How much does web design for tradesmen cost?
Show Up starts at £79 a month plus a £49 setup fee, with no minimum term. You can also buy the site outright with Own It for £995. See the pricing page.
Do I need a website if my work comes from word of mouth?
A recommendation often ends with the customer searching your name to check you are real. A site and a Google profile give them something to find.
I work from a van with no office. Can I still have a Google profile?
Yes. A Google Business Profile can show the areas you serve rather than a public address, and Show Up includes setting it up and keeping it maintained.
What happens when I miss a call on a job?
With Show Up & Book the caller gets a text about their call, so you can reply when you are free. With Show Up 24/7 the AI receptionist can answer the call as well.
Can I own the website instead of renting it?
Yes. Own It is the five-page site and Google profile bought outright for £995, with an optional care plan at £39 a month.
