I'm Serhat, and I run Show Up London from Bromley for small businesses across the UK. Missed call text back is a simple idea: when you cannot pick up, the person who just rang gets a text about their call, so the enquiry does not simply vanish. It is built but not live yet, and I will not promise a date. Show Up & Book is £149 a month plus a £99 setup fee, for your website and online booking, and there will be no separate price for text-back when it arrives.

Below I explain the idea, who it will suit, what it will not be able to do and how it sits next to the AI receptionist. I make no promises about how many customers it brings back, because that depends on your business and your callers.

How missed call text back will work

The idea is the same for a one-person plumber and a four-chair salon. Once it is live, the plan is simple. When a call comes in and you cannot pick up, because you are under a sink, with a client or driving, the caller on a mobile gets a text about the call they have just made. You reply when you are free.

It will only text someone who has just rung you, about that call, and it will not send offers. I will explain exactly how it is set up when it goes live, and not before.

Missed call text back cost: included, not extra

There will be no separate price for it. It is for Show Up & Book clients:

• Show Up & Book, £149 a month plus a £99 setup fee. Everything in Show Up, plus online booking with deposits and reminders, a WhatsApp chat button and click-to-call and review requests after each visit, with missed call text back (coming soon).
• Show Up 24/7, £249 a month plus a £149 setup fee. Everything in Show Up & Book, plus the AI receptionist. It is in pilot: message me and I will confirm a start date before you pay.

The entry plan, Show Up at £79 a month, is a website and Google profile without text back. Plans have no minimum term, the setup fee is paid up front and I add no VAT because I am not VAT registered. Every price sits on the pricing page.

Who missed call text back is for

It will suit any business where the person who answers the phone is also doing the work.

• Plumbers and other trades: you cannot take a call from inside a boiler cupboard, and the customer with a leak may already be ringing the next number. I go further into this on the page about websites for tradespeople.
• Salons and barbers: with your hands in someone's hair, the phone has to wait.
• Clinics and practices: in the middle of a treatment or session you cannot step out, and a caller who gets no answer has nothing to read.

It matters less if someone always answers your phone. In that case you may not need it.

What it will not do

Plain limits, so nothing surprises you later:

• Mobiles only. A text can only reach a mobile phone. It cannot reach withheld numbers or landlines, so those callers will get no text.
• It is not a receptionist. It is a text, not a conversation with the caller.
• It only replies to people who rang you. It texts the person who has just called, about that call. It never sends offers, newsletters or marketing.
• It cannot make anyone reply. Some will, and some will already have moved on.

Missed call text back and the AI receptionist

The two solve different halves of the same problem. Text back follows up a call you missed. The AI receptionist, which comes with Show Up 24/7, answers the call itself. It says plainly that it is an AI assistant, answers common questions from your own information such as hours, prices, parking and services, takes a message with the caller's name, number, what it is about and the best time to call back, and emails you a summary of every call. 600 call minutes a month are included.

Count your missed calls first

Before paying for anything, find out how many calls you really miss. Scroll through your phone's recent calls for the past week and mark the ones you did not answer. Cross out spam and existing customers. What is left is roughly what a text back after a missed call could help with.
